Today we woke to a beautiful picture outside. There is ice everywhere and the scenery is gorgeous. We feel blessed to still have electricity and all the great amenities at home. Some people have lost electricity this morning. School is out, so we are spending the day at home playing and watching cartoons. When we were put under an ice storm warning yesterday, I admit I slightly panicked. My first thoughts were of the ice storm in 94. We had no power and no water for several days. It was sometimes hard to appreciate the beauty of it all.

It does look pretty. A couple hundred miles north the same storm dropped 9 inches of snow on us! On difference though, no snow days for this mama...
